Groton Long Point

Groton Long Point is a wonderful  community situated on a peninsula in Long Island Sound. In the summertime, it has the feel of a summer resort, with successive generations bringing their own children back to reacquaint them with their "summer friends", and enjoy summers on the shore.

There is a long crescent beach (Main Beach), Kiddie Beach, and South Beach that are all maintained by the homeowners' association, and every homeowner is part of the association. There are also tennis lessons, sailing lessons, playgrounds, a yacht club, dances, movies, and other fun activities for both kids and adults.

There are about 600 houses; year round population is about 850. Summer residents number about 3000-3600.

In the "lagoon", there are boat moorings and docks, with a very protected anchorage.
