Noank
Noank is located at the mouth of the Mystic River and Long Island Sound. The village is a small peninsula, with narrow streets, lovely old homes, and a wonderful old-fashioned butcher and grocery shop, the Universal, where you can get anything (almost) you want. There is a handful of stores (bakery, package store, newspapers, art gallery), an abundance of marinas (4) and unlimited scenic views.
It is very scenic, and many tourists come here for the world-famous Abbott's Lobster, where you can enjoy lobster right on the docks.
